40lb Cubera Snapper Caught on our Sunset Charter
It was cloudy in the beginning when we first set sail. Then the clouds cleared up and the sun came out. We had 15 knots of offshore wind and sailed along beautifully.
Just before sunset we caught a 40 lb Cubera Snapper. We set the hook and handed the fishing pole over to the guest and he reeled her in.
This is a good eating reef fish with white meat much like a grouper. It can be cooked anyway . . . barbecued, baked, or in the pan with veggies.

Look at the teeth on that snapper! Well, I must say he was delicious. Thanks for sharing your catch. We made some pretty amazing fish tacos out of him!
Where was our share. Well maybe next time. I’m sure it was delish.
Billy – Next time we’ll be sure to invite you over for fish tacos….we prepared the Snapper two ways. Panco Encrusted and baked with butter, wine and zucchini. We added some corn tortillas, cilantro, cheddar cheese and sour cream to make the best tacos in Rincon.
Captain Bryan Carson and James Seth-Ward thanks for that unique experience. Everything was excellent. See you soon. Greetings. And thank you for the opportunity of fishing. That fish was enormous
