Shine Time Sunset Sail – Rincon Puerto Rico
The Sunset Sail leaves at different times throughout the year varying with the time of the sunset. Generally, we leave right around 4- 5 pm. The guests meet the Captain at the marina beach for payment/pick-up/transfer to the Katarina. We sail the West coast between the Caribbean and Atlantic known as the Mona Passage.
On board we have a stocked cooler full of sodas, Medalla Light and our famous fresh Pina Coladas and Rum Punch made with Don-Q rum. Did we mention it was all you can drink? We also serve a light snack of cheese and crackers and some fresh local fruit. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres are served by the mate. The Captain provides the soundtrack with a mix of great music. Most of the time while underway we will troll our lucky lure for fish and we are constantly scanning the horizon for humpbacks in whale season. Dolphins and sea turtles are common sights as are manatees. We sail as far north as the surf spot Rivermouth on the north coast of Rincon/Aguada border and as far south as Tres Hermanos beach in the Anasco Bay. We sail past every surf spot in the Rincon area and can wave at friends we know. The view of the light house is great. We have even been able to sail when there are 15 ft plus waves breaking at the world-famous Tres Palmas.
We return to the mooring just after sunset and have the guests back on land shortly after. Don’t forget to tip the crew!
