Employee Party Sunset Sail

Tonights sail was beautiful. Today is December 18th 2011. There are still a handfull of sails available for the holidays, so give us a ring if you are interested in a holiday sunset sail.

This sail was the employee party with Banco Oriental. The weather was clear with good trade winds blowing offshore. We sailed south and hugged the Rincon coast along the beaches. Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata playing with everyone dancing.

Towards the end of the sail we caught a Bar Jack. These are not good eating fish so we let it go; everyone wins.

40lb Cubera Snapper Caught on our Sunset Charter

It was cloudy in the beginning when we first set sail. Then the clouds cleared up and the sun came out. We had 15 knots of offshore wind and sailed along beautifully.

Just before sunset we caught a 40 lb Cubera Snapper. We set the hook and handed the fishing pole over to the guest and he reeled her in.

This is a good eating reef fish with white meat much like a grouper. It can be cooked anyway . . . barbecued, baked, or in the pan with veggies.
